| Wardobe Description:-
This practical and popular size wardrobe fits most bedrooms. It will take long clothes and if you want an extra
central rail will convert this to a gent's style wardrobe. We can add an extra storage shelf at eye-level for winter
blankets and quilts.
There are two different types of finish available - a waxed polish finish and a French style hand painted finish
(click on images above for greater detail) as follows:
Wax polished
Hundreds of years of daily use give antique furniture a patina or natural finish. A good patina or natural finish.
A good patina gives old furniture its warmth not to mention its value.
Original patina can't be faked, so furniture makers who want to give wood an aged appearance have to use special
techniques to make the wood look old. Hand waxing as opposed to lacquering gives a far more authentic and rich
finish especially after two or three coats.
Mellow Brown (no antiquing or distressing)
Old Wood (Mellow Brown colour with additional distressing to create an antique effect)
Mahogany (a distressed wax finish which gives the bed a traditional antique appeal)
French Life
Each piece of furniture is individually hand painted before the ageing process begins. Once the paint is completely
cured the knots are exposed and corners are worn off. But it's the woodworm effect that gives the furniture
unique, two hundred-year old charm.
Once the ageing process is complete each piece is hand waxed to a level of perfection customers rarely experience.
As the furniture ages further knots come to the surface and show through the paint adding character to the furniture
